ABB India (NSE:ABB, BOM:500002) received an order from Titagarh Rail Systems (NSE:TITAGARH, BOM:53296) for supplying traction and control systems for 40 six-car trainsets, according to a Tuesday stock exchange filing.
Shares of the technology company were up nearly 7% in Wednesday's trade.
The order covers 18 six-car trainsets for Line 6 and 22 six-car trainsets for Line 5, the filing said.
ABB India's scope includes auxiliary converters, traction converters, traction motors and train control and management system software.
The contract is scheduled to be executed over the next three to four years, according to the filing.
