Lumen Technologies Rises on AI Governance Certification

Shares of Lumen Technologies rose after the company said it had received an ISO 42001 certification for its Artificial Intelligence Management System.

Shares were up 8% to $9.34. The stock has risen 88% over the past year.

The technology and communications company said Tuesday that the certification, issued by third-party auditing firm Schellman, validates the company's AI governance framework.

"ISO 42001 certification reflects our unwavering commitment to responsible AI, confirming that our AI governance practices are transparent, ethical and safeguarded by strong risk-management controls," Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer Mark Hacker said.
