Samsung Electronics' (KRX:005930) Samsung TV Plus launched two new 24-hour terrestrial news channels, KBS News 24 and SBS No. 1 News Live, expanding its existing free, ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) service.
The new offerings diversify Samsung TV Plus' content, which was focused on entertainment and dramas, according to a Thursday release.
KBS News 24 streams major KBS bulletins in real time, while SBS No. 1 News Live features SBS's flagship news programs, the release said.
Shares of Samsung Electronics fell more than 1% in recent trade.
