ASML Shares Rebound on U.S. Capex, Further Earnings Growth Expectations -- Market Talk

Dow Jones01-29

1226 GMT - ASML sales will continue to outstrip expectations because of "insatiable demand from AI infrastructure spend," Deutsche Bank analyst Robert Sanders writes. Megacap U.S. tech companies including Meta and Microsoft announced huge artificial-intelligence investment in earnings after the U.S. close Wednesday, boosting sentiment around companies in the AI supply chain. Surging memory demand is a key driver for the Nvidia supplier, Sanders says. Memory shortages, paired with a lack of leading-edge logic, mean that AI buildout will continue into 2028, giving ASML a strong outlook for revenue growth over the period, J.P Morgan analysts write. ASML shares are up 3.75% after closing down Wednesday, despite jumping over 6% earlier in the session. (josephmichael.stonor@wsj.com)
