ECONOMY

ISTAT releases Q4 GDP flash data (0900 GMT); December unemployment rate flash data (1000 GMT); December producer prices data (1100 GMT).

COMPANIES

The tyremaker's Chinese shareholder Sinochem 600500.SS is not in favour of transferring its 34.1% stake in a blind trust to solve the group's governance issues, a source close to the matter told Reuters. The person added that Sinochem still sees the option of ringfencing Pirelli's US operations, limiting the Chinese investors voting rights and board representation, as a solution, but this has been rejected by majority shareholder Camfin.

The automaker is using an AI robot called Dexory V2 in four of its plants - including Detroit's Sterling Heights - to make production more efficient, daily MF reported on Friday.

California officials are meeting Detroit automakers this week to discuss the next phase of greenhouse gas regulations for cars and trucks, the state's top air regulator said on Thursday .

The administration of President Donald Trump lifted some sanctions on Venezuela’s oil industry on Thursday to make it easier for U.S. companies to sell its crude oil, and said more restrictions on the country would be lifted soon. The authorizes U.S. companies to buy, sell, transport, store and refine Venezuelan crude oil, but does not lift existing U.S. sanctions on production.

Oil producers Chevron, Repsol and ENI, refiner Reliance Industries, and some U.S. oil service providers had sought licenses in recent weeks to expand output or exports from the OPEC member.

MEDIOBANCA MDBI.MI

Francesco Grosoli, CEO of the Italian bank's Compagnie Monégasque de Banque (CMB), will become head of Mediobanca's private banking business, a source close to the matter said on Thursday, as part of a push to give the division a broader international reach.

The Tuscan lender's outgoing board, along with headhunters Korn Ferry, are expected to have a first, long list of 20-25 candidates for the new board by mid-February, daily MF reported on Friday, adding that an almost final slate was expected at the end of February.

(*) BANCA MEDIOLANUM BMED.MI

CEO Massimo Doris ruled out mergers or acquisitions in an interview with daily Il Sole 24 Ore published on Friday. Mediolanum will keep its investment in Mediobanca MDBI.MI, although it might slightly cut its stake in the future, Doris said, adding that the bank was not interested in Banca Generali BGN.MI.

SAIPEM SPM.MI

Mozambique and TotalEnergies TTEF.PA agreed on Thursday to relaunch construction on the French energy major's $20 billion liquefied natural gas project in the country. Saipem has a contract of around 3-billion euros ($3.59 billion) with Total for the project.

AVIO AVI.MI

The Italian rocket maker said on Thursday it had revised upwards its 2025 order backlog and net revenues' guidance on the back of a substantial amount of order signed in the last quarter of 2025 and faster than anticipated execution. Guidance for core profit and net income was confirmed

TELECOMS

KKR‑backed KKR.N telecom network operator FiberCop has reached an agreement with trade unions for up to 1,800 voluntary departures, a source said on Thursday, adding that the first exits are expected to begin on June 30.

The Milano Cortina Winter Olympics have caught the eye of a number of luxury brands, as the Italian fashion capital and the exclusive Alpine destination prepare to host wealthy tourists from around the world and attract a huge broadcast audience.

Luxury brands have opened boutiques in Olympic venues, dressed several national teams and launched small 'capsule collections' inspired by winter activities, as they increasingly turn to sports to promote their products.

Rome, Industry Minister Adolfo Urso chairs meeting on the automotive sector (0900 GMT), with representatives from regions involved in vehicle production, companies, trade associations, and trade unions.

Rome, Bank of Italy holds conference "The reform of collective asset management regulations" (0830 GMT); Bank of Italy Deputy Governor Paolo Angelini delivers welcome address; expected attendees include Economy Undersecretary Federico Freni, Andrea Beltramello from EU Commission.
