TotalEnergies (TTE) is set to restart its liquefied natural gas project in Mozambique after a delay of almost five years, according to a translated statement from the office of Mozambique's President Daniel Chapo issued Wednesday.
The project relaunch is scheduled for Thursday and will be attended by TotalEnergies Chief Executive Officer Patrick Pouyanne, the president's office said. No other project details were disclosed.
Reuters and Bloomberg said the project is valued at $20 billion.
TotalEnergies did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
