SITC International (HKG:1308) said it exercised an option for the construction of two new vessels, according to a Hong Kong bourse filing Friday.

The company has earmarked up to $76.4 million for the building of the ships.

Huanghai Shipbuilding plans to deliver the ships in January and March 2029, respectively.

SITC International said it was building the new ships to meet the increase in demand for its operational requirements.
