TAL Education Shares Rise on Stock Upgrade; Upbeat Q3 Results

TAL Education (TAL) shares rose around 1.5% in late Friday trading as brokerages raised price target of the after-school education firm after an upbeat third-quarter results.

Morgan Stanley lifted price target of the stock to $16 from $14.60 and maintained its overweight rating. While Macquarie upgraded the company to outperform from neutral and raised price target to $18 from $13.10.

Trading volume stood at over 7.3 million shares compared with a daily average of about 3.4 million shares.

TAL Education posted late Thursday higher fiscal Q3 adjusted earnings that beat expectations and net revenue that rose from a year ago.
