Carlyle Group (CG) has agreed to acquire Lukoil unit Lukoil International's certain assets, subject to certain conditions, Lukoil said Thursday.
The deal doesn't include the company's Kazakhstan assets, which will continue to be owned by Lukoil Group and continue their operations under respective license.
Lukoil International is on sale due to "restrictive measures introduced by some countries against the company and its subsidiaries," Lukoil said.
The company said it also continues negotiations with other potential buyers.
