Nvidia (NVDA) and Uber (UBER) are collaborating with Mercedes-Benz to establish a robotaxi network utilizing its S-Class vehicles, Mercedes-Benz said Thursday.
The car manufacturer said it intends to use its proprietary MB.OS and the S-Class model to launch driverless shuttle services across the US, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
Nvidia will provide the software stack and AI models for the autonomous platform, it added.
The first S-Class robotaxi test vehicles are scheduled to be deployed on Abu Dhabi roads later this year to advance SAE-Level 4 development projects, the company said.
