Middle East Crude-Oman dips; Dubai, Murban steady

SINGAPORE, Feb 4 (Reuters) - Middle East crude benchmark Oman dipped on Wednesday after a two-day rally, while Dubai and Murban held steady.

Oil prices extended gains on Wednesday after the U.S. shot down an Iranian drone and armed Iranian boats that approached a U.S.-flagged vessel in the Strait of Hormuz, rekindling fears of an escalation in tensions between Washington and Tehran. O/R

Market was also supported by better demand outlook from India as the country is expected to diversify its energy sources after the U.S. said New Delhi would halt Russian oil purchases.
