China Eastern Airlines (HKG:0670, SHA:600115) expects to post a net loss attributable to shareholders of 1.3 billion yuan to 1.8 billion yuan for 2025, narrowing from 4.23 billion yuan a year earlier, according to a Jan. 30 Hong Kong bourse filing.
Hong Kong-listed shares of the firm were up more than 2% in Monday's late morning trade.
The airline attributed the upbeat forecast to improved operating performance amid stronger passenger demand, route network optimization, and cost controls.
