0508 GMT - Asian videogame makers could be better positioned to take advantage of AI than Western peers, Bernstein analysts say in a research note, adding that Western attitudes toward AI has become increasingly antagonistic. Google released Project Genie, a tool allowing users to create AI-powered 3-D interactive worlds using text prompts and images. While the project has rattled fears about AI disruption in game production, the analysts think videogames are far beyond the rendering of 3-D environments. AI development could result in an increase in the supply of relatively disposable in-game experiences, they say. (sherry.qin@wsj.com)
