Tesla (TSLA) CEO Elon Musk has been summoned by French authorities for questioning in April amid an expanding probe into social media platform X, according to news reports published Tuesday that cited the Paris prosecutor's office.

Multiple news outlets reported that authorities have also raided X offices in France as part of the investigation, which was initially opened to look into the platform's algorithms and data gathering process.

According to the reports, the probe has now widened to include potential violations related to X's artificial intelligence chatbot Grok, such as explicit deepfakes.

X did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
