Sunstone Metals (ASX:STM) said trenching results from the Porotillo porphyry system at the Bramaderos gold-copper project in Ecuador confirmed high-grade gold-copper mineralization at surface, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
It hit intercepts of 21.59 meters at 1.19 grams per tonne grade of gold-equivalent, including 0.93 g/t grade of gold, 0.16% grade of copper, and 7.9 parts-per-million (ppm) grade of molybdenum, as well as 73.69 meters at 0.57 g/t grade of gold-equivalent, including 0.38 g/t grade of gold, 0.11% grade of copper, and 2.7 ppm grade of molybdenum.
A scoping study is underway on Brama-Alba-Melonal porphyry systems, while drilling will begin at Copete in mid-February.
Its shares fell 5% in recent trading on Wednesday.
