Northern Minerals (ASX:NTU) said that it started proceedings in the Supreme Court of New South Wales, seeking orders to hold the company's extraordinary general meeting as the same day as its annual general meeting (AGM) for fiscal 2025, according to a Friday filing with the Australian bourse.
The company is also seeking an order to further defer the last date on which the AGM must be held, the filing said.
In November 2025, the company said the Court made orders that allowed it to hold its annual general meeting on a date before March 31.
On Jan. 28, the company received notices from Vastness Investment Group, a shareholder with over 5% stake, to call an EGM within 21 days after the receipt of the notice, and to be held no later than two months after that notice.
Shares of the company fell 4% in recent Friday trade.
