Market Chatter: Microsoft-Backed OpenAI Recruits Consultants to Strengthen Enterprise Sales Efforts

MT Newswires Live02-05 19:09

Microsoft-backed (MSFT) OpenAI is adding hundreds of employees to its technical consulting division to assist large firms in building personalized artificial intelligence tools, The Information reported late Wednesday, citing a person with knowledge of the plans.

The recruitment drive is intended to help the ChatGPT maker compete with Anthropic as it prepares to debut a consolidated service for business clients, the report said.

Specialized engineers will work with corporate data to refine models for specific uses, the report added.

The company currently has roughly 60 of these technical consultants and over 200 staff members on its customer success team, a small part of the total 4,000 people employed, The Information reported.

OpenAI did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
