Teradata (TDC) shares were up 14% in recent premarket activity Wednesday after the company reported overnight a stronger-than-expected jump in Q4 earnings with a surprise increase in quarterly revenue.
The company reported Q4 non-GAAP earnings late Tuesday of $0.74 per diluted share, up from $0.53 a year earlier.
Analysts polled by FactSet expected $0.56.
Revenue for the quarter ended Dec. 31 was $421 million, up from $409 million a year earlier.
Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $400.5 million.
The company expects Q1 non-GAAP EPS of $0.75 to $0.79. Analysts expect $0.69.
Teradata said it expects 2026 non-GAAP EPS of $2.55 to $2.65. Analysts expect $2.54.
