Thermo Fisher Scientific (TMO) said Wednesday it has entered into a data collaboration with Datavant to help pharmaceutical and biotech companies more easily connect real-world data with clinical research, accelerating evidence generation and study design.

Thermo Fisher's PPD clinical research business will integrate Datavant's privacy-preserving data linkage technology across its platforms to connect research datasets and retrieve consented electronic medical record data, the company said.
