Guangdong Tianyu Semiconductor (HKG:2658) said it has entered into a three-year cooperation agreement with South Korea-based EYEQ Lab to supply silicon carbide (SiC) epitaxial wafers, according to a Feb. 06 Hong Kong bourse filing.
Shares of the firm were up nearly 3% in Monday morning trade.
Under the agreement, Tianyu will provide 6-inch and 8-inch SiC epitaxial wafers covering voltage specifications from 650V to 20,000V for use in unipolar and bipolar power devices.
EYEQ Lab will give priority to procuring wafers from Tianyu under comparable commercial terms, the filing said, and the agreement takes effect immediately and may be renewed upon expiry.
