Tesoro Gold (ASX:TSO) said that extensional and infill diamond drilling at the Ternera gold deposit, part of the El Zorro gold project in Chile, returned high-grade results and confirmed down-plunge extensions, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.
It encountered intercepts of 8.84 meters at 3.54 grams per tonne grade of gold from 576 meters, as well as 4.26 meters at 3.40 g/t grade of gold from 217.45 meters.
Drilling is ongoing for the three concurrent diamond drilling programs for a total of around 38,000 meters.
Its shares soared 10% in recent trading on Monday.
