J.M. Smucker Eliminates COO Role; Expects to Maintain Fiscal 2026 Outlook

J.M. Smucker (SJM) said Tuesday that it is eliminating the chief operating officer role and that John Brase has left the company.

The company said Mark Smucker has re-assumed the president role, serving as chief executive officer, president and board chair.

Chief financial officer Tucker Marshall has been promoted to the new role of CFO, executive vice president, frozen handheld and spreads and sweet baked snacks, the company said.

Rob Ferguson, who has served as senior vice president and general manager, coffee and procurement, has been promoted to the new role of chief product supply officer, executive vice president, coffee, pet, and away from home, the company said.

Chief people and company services officer Jill Penrose has been promoted to the expanded role of chief people and administrative officer, chief of staff, J.M. Smucker said.

The company said it will start a search to fill the new role of chief technology officer.

J.M. Smucker also said it expects to retain its fiscal 2026 full-year outlook.
