UniCredit's Upbeat New Targets Lift Shares -- Market Talk
Dow Jones02-09
1333 GMT - UniCredit's new targets to 2028 are above consensus expectations and are boosting the Italian bank's shares. The market is happy to give credit to this new guidance, Citi analysts say in a research note. The positive reaction suggests the upgrades to consensus earnings per share are already being factored in, they say. The call with management focused on the big picture with talk around the competitive environment, AI adoption, stablecoins and tokenization, and M&A, they say. Shares rise 6.5% to trade at just under 79 euros and are up 11% since the start of the year. (elena.vardon@wsj.com)
