Clorox CEO: Consumers Continue to Shop Private Label -- Market Talk

1544 ET - Despite nearly 90% of consumers seeking value from their purchases, engagement with private label brands hasn't changed substantially, Clorox Chief Executive Officer Linda Rendle says at the 2026 Consumer Analyst Group of New York conference. "What does that tell you? It tells you that value means so much more to consumers than just a lower price," she says. Rendle adds that the consumer demand for value has prompted Clorox to return to its fundamentals and make sure its pricing and product claims sit well with consumers. "It's a call to action to ensure that we're delivering the very best value in everything that we do," she says. (elias.schisgall@wsj.com)
