Lemonade (LMND) reported a Q4 net loss Thursday of $0.29 per diluted share, narrowing from a loss of $0.42 a year earlier.
Analysts polled by FactSet expected a loss of $0.39.
Revenue for the quarter ended Dec. 31 was $228.1 million, up from $148.8 million a year earlier.
Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $217.9 million.
The insurance provider said it expects Q1 revenue of $246 million to $251 million. Analysts polled by FactSet expect $243 million.
Revenue for the current year is projected to be around $1.19 billion, the company said. Analysts surveyed by FactSet expect $1.16 billion.
Shares of the company were up more than 11% in recent Thursday premarket activity.
