India's total exports of goods and services increased by 13.17% to $80.45 billion in January from $71.09 billion a year ago, according to data released by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry on Monday.
Total imports grew 18.67% year-over-year to $90.83 billion in January from $76.48 billion, widening the trade deficit to $10.38 billion from $5.39 billion.
The country's exports of goods increased to $36.56 billion in January, up from $36.34 billion a year earlier, while services exports also rose to $43.90 billion, from $34.75 billion.
On the import side, goods increased to $71.24 billion in the reported month from $59.77 billion a year earlier, while services imports climbed to $19.60 billion from $16.71 billion.
