Turkey - Factors to Watch on Feb 20

ANKARA, Feb 20 (Reuters) - Here are news, reports and events that may affect Turkish financial markets on Friday.

The lira TRYTOM=D3 was quoted at 43.8450 against the U.S. dollar at 0403 GMT, after closing at 43.7575 on Thursday.

The BIST 100 closed at 13,804.21 points on Thursday, down some 3.2% from the previous session's close.

GLOBAL MARKETS

Stocks fell in Asia on Friday, the dollar headed for its largest weekly gain in four months and oil prices were rising as a U.S. military build up in the Middle East and a rout in private equity stocks sent ripples of nerves across markets.

ERDOGAN PROGRAMME

President Tayyip Erdogan will attend the promotion event of a non governmental organisation in Istanbul. (1130 GMT)

ENERGY MINISTER

Turkish Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar to attend a ceremony for solar power plants as part of a deal with Saudi Arabia (0800 GMT)

CENTRAL BANK DATA

The central bank will release February manufacturing capacity utilisation data and the real sector confidence index. (0700 GMT)

FOREIGN ARRIVALS TRTARR=ECI

The Tourism Ministry will release data on foreigners entering the country in January. (0800 GMT)

DEBT STOCK

The Treasury will announce the January central government debt stock data. (1430 GMT)

TURKEY-GREECE

Turkey said on Thursday it opposed Greece's "unilateral activities" in energy fields south of Crete with a consortium led by U.S. major Chevron CVX.N as a violation of international law and good neighbourly relations.

BOARD OF PEACE

U.S. President Donald Trump told the first meeting of his Board of Peace on Thursday that nations had contributed $7 billion to a Gaza reconstruction fund that aims to rebuild the enclave once Hamas disarms, an objective that is far from becoming a reality.
