MGI Tech to Sell US Subsidiary for $50 Million

MGI Tech (SHA:688114) agreed to sell U.S.-based subsidiary Complete Genomics for $50 million while amending the licensing terms with Swiss firm Swiss Rockets.

The amendments add licensing terms for StandardMPS sequencing technology-related products, according to a Tuesday filing with the Shanghai bourse.

Swiss Rockets will also need to pay licensing fees for subsequent sales of StandardMPS sequencing technology-related products.

Shares of the genome sequencing machine manufacturer were up 2% in recent trade.
