Perrigo plans to cut its workforce by about 7% as part of a two-year program aimed at generating annualized pretax savings of $80 million to $100 million.
Perrigo on Thursday said the program will also target operational cost reductions, mainly in its supply-chain and distribution network.
The Dublin-based maker of consumer-health products has nearly 8,400 employees, according to data from FactSet.
Perrigo said it expects in incur cash costs of $80 million to $90 million as part of the program, adding that it expects gross pretax annualized run-rate cost savings of $80 million to $100 million by the end of fiscal 2027, with the majority achieved in fiscal 2026.
