1436 ET - Bed Bath & Beyond is shifting from a traditional retail turnaround into an ambitious, but "high risk" ecosystem pivot, according to Wedbush in a note. The analysts cite the company's new three-pillar strategy consisting of the legacy retail footprint serving as a data-harvesting "front door" to cross-sell home installation services and financial services. The analysts say Bed Bath & Beyond has methodically reduced fixed costs and positioned itself to drive shareholder value in the next few years. "However, we remain highly cautious about the brand's elasticity, operational bandwidth, and the inevitable share dilution required to execute this complex transition," the analysts say. Bed Bath & Beyond climbs 11% after narrowing its 4Q loss and posting a smaller revenue decline, while targeting top-line growth for 2026. (amira.mckee@wsj.com)
