London's Miners Drop as Metal Prices Slide -- Market Talk

0928 GMT - London's miners trade down as metal prices drop. In morning trade, New York gold futures are down 0.62% to $5,192.20 a troy ounce. Silver futures slide nearly 4.25% to $87.12 an ounce while LME three-month copper futures are down 0.4% to $13,247 a metric ton. While gold slips, it remains up more than 3.5% over the week as uncertainty around U.S. trade policy and geopolitical tensions with Iran remain. Silver and gold miner Fresnillo drops nearly 4%, while Hochschild Mining is down 1.5%. Copper miner Antofagasta trades 2.85% lower. Diversified miner Anglo American is down around 2.5% and Glencore drops 1.8%. (adam.whittaker@wsj.com)
