ARE Holdings (TYO:5857) said its wholly owned unit, Asahi Pretec Corp., has been selected for a government subsidy of up to 1.91 billion yen to enhance precious metals recycling capacity, according to a Wednesday filing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
The project covers eligible expenses of about 6.17 billion yen under a program run by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry to support large-scale growth investment and labor-saving initiatives.
The subsidy period is scheduled from March 2026 to December 2027. Facilities under the project are expected to begin operations from the fiscal year ending March 2027.
