The parents of Sarah Beckstrom-a National Guard member from West Virginia who was shot and killed last year in Washington, D.C.-will be joining President Trump at the State of the Union. Beckstrom, stationed in D.C., was fatally attacked while on patrol not far from the White House. An Afghan national, Rahmanullah Lakanwal, has been charged with her murder.
Trump has also invited 7-year-old Dalilah Coleman, who was injured in a California car crash caused by a truck driver who was in the country illegally, according to CBS. Trump is expected to highlight the stories of Beckstrom and Coleman while addressing border control and homeland security.
