'American Heroes May Be Lost' During Iran Operation, Trump Says -- WSJ

President Trump acknowledged that U.S. troops could be killed after launching a military operation against Iran over its nuclear work and ballistic missile program-a concern Gen. Dan Caine, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, had raised during weeks of briefings.

"American heroes may be lost and we may have casualties. That often happens in war," he said in a video statement posted to social media. "We're doing this for the future, and it is a noble mission. We pray for every service member as they selflessly risk their lives to ensure that Americans and our children will never be threatened by a nuclear armed Iran."
