National Inflation Data Could Add Pressure on ECB to Consider Rate Cuts -- Market Talk

0647 GMT - French, Spanish and German flash estimate inflation data for February on Friday "could intensify pressure on the European Central Bank to consider rate cuts if the figures surprise to the downside," Danske Bank's Joel Rossier says in a note. Market pricing already reflects an easing bias, with nine basis points of rate cuts anticipated for this year, the expectations for cuts could further increase, the senior analyst says. That said, Danske expects the ECB to keep policy rates unchanged over the next two years. (emese.bartha@wsj.com)
