Canadian Pacific Moves 2.23 Million Tonnes of Canadian Grain in February

Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CP) said Tuesday it transported 2.232 million metric tonnes of Canadian grain and grain products in February, surpassing the previous February total set in 2021.

The railway also moved 23,088 carloads in February. It transported about 2.4 million tonnes of Canadian grain across 24,688 carloads in January.

Across its broader North American network, February volumes included 46,896 carloads and about 4.5 million tonnes of total grain moved in Canada and the US. These totals exceeded prior monthly volumes from 2024.

The company said it has transported more than 17.1 MMT of Canadian grain so far in the 2025-2026 crop year.
