Virgin Australia Holdings (ASX:VGN) said Wednesday its services operated by Qatar Airways were cancelled due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East and the closure of Qatari airspace.
In a statement, the company said the cancellations affect seven flights to and from Doha, Qatar on Wednesday, eight on Thursday, and four on Friday.
The airline added that affected passengers are being contacted directly and that it is offering free booking changes, or a travel credit or refund, for passengers who no longer wish to travel, booked on Virgin Australia's Doha services up to and including March 10.
Virgin Australia Holdings' shares fell 2% in recent trading on Wednesday.
