1507 GMT - The biggest advertising agency groups are adopting different strategic responses to the challenge posed by AI, analysts at Bank of America say in a research note. France's Publicis is doubling down on its existing business, aiming to continue to expand headcount in 2026 and likely in 2027, the analysts say. Britain's WPP unveiled a new strategy that seeks a tighter integration of its capabilities and echoes Publicis' approach, Bank of America says. On the other hand, Omnicom is focused on portfolio optimization after completing its acquisition of Interpublic Group and plans to exit businesses that account for 12% of its current footprint, the analysts say. While Publicis and WPP are focused on top-line growth, Omnicom's approach seems more geared toward boosting earnings, according to Bank of America. WPP shares fall 4.6%, Publicis is down 1.6% and Omnicom shares drop 1.7%. (adria.calatayud@wsj.com)
