Norwegian Energy Companies Seen as Relative Beneficiaries of Oil, Gas Shock -- Market Talk
Dow Jones03-03
1526 GMT - Norwegian energy companies stand out as relative beneficiaries of the oil and gas shock caused by conflict in the Middle East, RBC analysts write. Energy companies which react more sensitively to moves in commodity prices, as well as those with minimal operations in the Middle East, are well-placed, the analysts say. Oslo-listed Equinor rises 0.8%, while Aker BP and Var Energi jump 2.5% and 2.1% respectively. The gains come amid a broad-based market selloff in Europe. A basket of Norwegian stocks falls 1.2%.
