Dow Jones03-03

0735 GMT - The ongoing conflict in Iran and disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz are expected to affect vehicle shipments and sales in the Middle East, Bernstein analysts say in a note. They note Chery has the highest exposure, followed by SAIC Motor and Great Wall Motor. The Middle East and Africa remain the leading export destination for Chinese automakers. Chinese auto exports continued to accelerate in 4Q of 2025 with new passenger vehicle export volume from China reaching 1.87 million units, they say. Market share outside China has steadily grown with Chinese brands' share reaching 17% in the Middle East and Africa, they say. (jiahui.huang@wsj.com; @ivy_jiahuihuang)
