Vitesse Energy plans to acquire oil and gas assets in Wyoming for $35 million in stock.

The company, which owns a portfolio of oil and gas assets, said Monday that rising tensions in the Middle East allowed it to hedge the acquisition above its underwritten prices.

The assets are in the Powder River Basin and include more than 6,000 net acres expected to produce about 1,400 barrel of oil equivalent per day for 2026, the company said. The assets also include 29 net undeveloped locations operated primarily by EOG Resources and Continental Resources.

The company expects the deal to close at the beginning of the second quarter. Upon closing, the company expects the acquisition to be accretive to earnings.
