Shares of Daehan Shipbuilding (KRX:439260) fell nearly 3% in recent trade on Tuesday morning after the company disclosed the suspension of heavy load handling operations at its number one fabrication plant in Yeongam County, South Jeolla Province, the shipbuilder said in a Tuesday filing with the Korea Exchange.

Operations were suspended following an industrial accident, which led to the death of a 35-year-old Cambodian worker. The worker was fatally crushed by a one-ton ship block during crane operations at around 11:40 a.m. on Feb. 28, Alphabiz reported Tuesday.

An investigation is underway. Operations will resume after the cause of the accident is identified and necessary safety measures are in place, according to the filing.
