Battalion Oil Corp. (BATL) said Tuesday it has struck a deal to sell some $15 million shares, or $5.50 a share, to an institutional investor. The investor can also buy prefunded warrants in lieu.
Shares more than doubled as intraday trading volume surged to over 57 million from a daily average of about 9.1 million.
Ziff Davis (ZD) said Tuesday that it has agreed to sell its Connectivity division to Accenture (ACN) for $1.2 billion in cash.
Shares soared 55% as intraday trading volume jumped to more than 8.5 million from a daily average of roughly 690,000.
Best Buy (BBY) shares jumped 6%, a top gainer on the S&P 500, after the firm reported higher fiscal Q4 adjusted earnings.
Shares jumped 7% as intraday trading volume climbed to more than 10.6 million from a daily average of about 4.6 million.
