Chinese Hardware Stocks' Recent Correction May Provide Entry Point -- Market Talk

Dow Jones03-03 17:35

0935 GMT - China's hardware stocks' recent correction may provide a good entry point, Citi analysts say, noting both Android and Apple supply chain companies saw share price declines early this week. Investors are concerned about the Middle East conflict, which could drive inflation higher. Meanwhile, commentary from Xiaomi on memory chips' price hikes likely persisting until end-2027 also hurts sentiment, they note. That said, the recent price correction may provide opportunities for investors to buy these stocks. Citi prefers Apple suppliers over Android suppliers, including Lens Technology, Luxshare Precision Industry and Cowell e Holdings. (tracy.qu@wsj.com)
