Adidas said one of its stores in Israel was bombed after the conflict in the Middle East escalated.
No employees were killed or hurt during the attack on the closed store, Chief Commercial Officer Mathieu Sidokpohou told reporters Wednesday.
Israel has in recent days been hit by missiles fired by Iran and its Lebanese ally Hezbollah in retaliation for U.S. and Israeli attacks on Iranian targets. Other U.S. allies including the Gulf emirates have also been targeted by Tehran.
Adidas Chief Executive Bjorn Gulden said sales in the region could be dragged by store closures due to the conflict, as well as by delays on some products due to shipment constraints. Gulden didn't put a number on the potential cost, noting that the situation could change at any time.
Swedish fashion retailer H&M, meanwhile, said it has closed all stores in Israel following local security directives.
