Nvidia's (NVDA) venture capital arm, NVentures, participated in the first close of a series D funding round for UK autonomous vehicle technology firm Oxa, raising a total of $103 million, Oxa said Wednesday.

The round attracted an initial $50 million commitment from the National Wealth Fund, with additional capital from existing shareholders IP Group, Hostplus and BP's (BP) bp Ventures.

Oxa said the proceeds will help it increase focus on commercializing solutions for industrial mobility automation and fuel its global expansion plans.

The company expects a second and final series D close in H1.
