Dow Jones03-03

1107 GMT - Shares in ASML, Europe's most valuable company, tumble in morning European trade as semiconductor-related stocks fall amid a broader market selloff. ASML--which makes unique lithography machines key to the manufacturing of semiconductor chips--drops 4.3%. Dutch peers ASM International and BE Semiconductor tumble 3.75% and 4.7%, respectively. The selling tracks sharp falls in memory makers SK Hynix and Samsung Electronics in Korean trade. Each dropped around 10%, a bearish signal as both are key buyers of the Dutch companies' products. Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing, another key buyer, falls 2%. (josephmichael.stonor@wsj.com)
