1156 GMT - SpaceX's Starlink service provides life-saving connectivity when natural disasters incapacitate terrestrial networks, SpaceX Chief Operating Officer Gwynne Shotwell says at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The executive says over 400,000 people connected to Starlink during last year's wildfires in Los Angeles. "This technology is not just for reaching our mobile apps and downloading our videos, but it is also a great enhancement of life-saving capabilities," Shotwell says.
