Day One Biopharmaceuticals (DAWN) shares were up more than 65% in midday trading on Friday after the company said it agreed to be acquired by French pharmaceutical group Servier for $21.50 per share in cash, or a total equity value of about $2.5 billion.
Intraday trading volume jumped to over 70.7 million from a daily average of roughly 2.7 million.
Marvell Technology's (MRVL) stock was up more than 22% at midday after the company reported higher Q4 results.
Intraday trading volume rose to about 61.5 million shares, up from a daily average of nearly 14.8 million.
Trio Petroleum (TPET) shares were up over 29% amid rising global oil prices and after the company filed an amendment to its equity offering program, increasing the aggregate shares available for sale to roughly $4 million.
Trading volume surged to over 230.6 million shares from a daily average of about 21.9 million.
