Hensoldt, the German manufacturer of military sensors and radars, bought Dutch optronics specialist Nedinsco for an undisclosed amount, as it seeks to secure its supply chain and expand its industrial footprint in Europe.
The transaction will also allow Hensoldt to scale up production of optronics, which are used in vision systems and sensors, the Frankfurt-listed company said Thursday.
The acquisition will be funded entirely from existing funds and should be completed by mid-2026, Hensoldt said.
For Nedinsco, the merger will provide stability and global reach, its chief executive, Arno Bouwmeester said.
